IATEFL has opened its call for proposals for the IATEFL 2019 Liverpool! Now is the time to submit your proposal to be considered for the Belgian Presenter Travel Grant!
The IATEFL 2019 Conference will be held in Liverpool, UK - the home of the Beatles! The beautiful ACC on the restored docks of Liverpool is the hosting venue of the annual international conference. BELTA would like to encourage its members to attend this amazing conference which will be held 2 - 5 April 2019. We know the dates are a bit inconvenient (the week before the Easter holiday), but the conference is worth the effort!
Last year, Natascha Coene - a teacher in Diksmuide - attended the conference as a presenter. She was aided in her journey by BELTA as the first recipient of the Belgian Presenter Travel Grant. She received 600 euros to offset her expenses to attend the conference. Her session was well-received and then repeated at BELTA Day 2018.
You could be the next winner!
You can go to the IATEFL Conference page and begin the process of submitting your proposal! Once your proposal has been reviewed and accepted, you can send this information to the BELTA president, who will share the information with the BELTA Board. Acceptances are usually sent out in January. If the Board receives more than one submission, the Board will receive the proposals and determine the winner based on the strength of the proposal. The winner will be notified in early February, and they will receive the prize of 600 euros AFTER they have submitted their certificate of attendance at the conference.
