Online Events

BELTA brings you presentations from around the world, right to the comfort of your living room. For our webinars we find speakers who will give you a new insight into English language education. This is a truly global perspective, and we’ve had speakers from Brazil to Japan. To find out more about online events, keep an eye on this page or get updates from our Facebook page or Twitter account.

BELTA offers a variety of online events, including webinars, joint webinars and online conferences.

Our premiere event was 'Sundays with BELTA', a series of webinars with ELT professionals the world over. This series began in 2013 and continues today. The webinars were at first offered on Sunday afternoons but now they usually take place on a weekday evening.

We are also working with other teaching associations to offer joint webinars. We teamed up with TESOL Greece for a half-day series of webinars with BELTA and TESOL Greece members sharing valuable information and experience.

In the past, we held two summer online conferences with TESL Toronto. These two-day events focused on a conference theme and offered between 8 and 10 sessions and 2 - 3 plenaries over two days.

We have also teamed up with Rob Howard and ELF Talks.

Recordings

All of our sessions hosted are recorded. People who register for a webinar get a link to the recording afterwards.
After about six months, the recording becomes part of our Archive and can be seen by all.
If you are interested in past recordings you can access our older recordings by clicking on the 'Archive' link.

How to Join a Session

All of BELTA's Online Events are open to the general public: you do not need to be a member to join an event on the date it is held. We do ask you, though, to register beforehand so we can send you the link to the online event.
You can find the registration link in the announcement of a particular online event.
