Audience focus:
In traditional state education, foreign language classrooms often include students with a wide range of ability levels. This is particularly evident in English language learning, where some students are regularly exposed to English outside of school—through gaming, media, or family circumstances—while others have little to no exposure. This disparity poses a significant challenge for teachers and can be demotivating for students. How can we effectively cater to these differences within a single classroom? In this session, we demonstrate how this challenge can be addressed using “Tracks”: a structured approach in which students work at their own pace and level, while teachers use class time to engage with targeted ability groups.
Hans developed an early passion for English through his father, an English teacher, and by spending extended periods in England. After a career in the automotive and industrial pump sectors, he transitioned in 2010 to English language education, where he focuses on connecting innovative learning solutions to the needs of customers.
