ABSTRACT

Educational benefits of using songs in the EFL classroom have long been in the center of researchers’ and teachers’ attention. It seems obvious that songs are good motivational tools, they are fun and relaxing, they provide a class with variety and a break from textbooks. Songs in the classroom are a source of authentic language, and music in songs is a powerful stimulus for students’ engagement. Teachers may use songs to present a topic, a new vocabulary or a grammar unit.
